It is VS They are – sentence making cards

‘It is’ VS ‘They are’ – sentence making cards can be made with velcro dots or magnetic stickers. The students’ task is to arrange a correct sentence describing the picture using word cards. They have to remember the difference between the singular “it is” and plural “they are”, as well as the plural ‘s’ and singular ‘a/an’. 

The error control comes in a form of a stripe with the correct sentence. I cut of the stripe and then reattach it using thin sellotape going around the card.

The cards are based on the same pictures as the Toys 1 and Toys 2 Vocabulary enrichment Sets available in my shop. They also form a set od educational aids with ‘It is’ VS ‘They are’ – multiple choice cards and ‘It is’ VS ‘They are’ – fill in the gaps cards.
