On September 8th 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, after reigning for over 70 years. The day of the Queen’s death is called D-Day and the following days are known as D-Day +1, D-Day +2, and so on until D-Day +10, the day of the funeral. The days leading up to the funeral ceremony are full of commemorations across the country.
